Wu Wei in the World

Wandering Around the Globe

And yet, I see the world not as a playground, but a class room

Washington DC

coming soon.

Venice 2003

My stay in Venice was really short, however, I took full advantage of such opportunity to visit the main Island.

Croatia 2003

With a friend of mine, dated from high school in Paris, we went to his hometown, Vodnjan in search of his roots (joke).

People are very friendly, don’t care too much about tourists, I think I was the first Chinese visiting Vodnjan since the Great Khan’s troop passing by, and yet, they don’t even bother to look at me.

Florida

the Everglade 2004

Since it was winter, many animals gathered in the park due to the lack of fresh water elsewhere in the everglade, very lucky timing because I was able to admire many exotic animals for the first time.

Puerto Rico 2005

This is my first time in the Caribbean, first time hiking in a rain forest - the El Yunque National Forest, and first time to hear Ko-Kee (Coquí) frog at night. I went to Puerto Rico for many reasons, however, probably because unconsciously I knew I have to leave the United States for good. Thus, do it now or regret it for the rest of my life.

Hiking in Andorra 2005

Finally about hiking itself. It is certainly not easy, even though according to the official web site they are easy. At certain places, it is quasi a question of life or death. Some parts of the trails are dangerous and tough, unlike in North America (including Canada), where engineers have worked on hiking trials; those ones are made of human and animals feet with big and small rocks.

Barcelona, La merce 2005

I was wondering in the poor neighborhood of the old town Barcelona, where reside people of Sub Asian Continent, Maghrib and other Muslim countries, by accident I bumped into the Barcelona Modern Art Museum or Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA), it was exhibiting the winning work of World Press Photo of 05.

Ghana 2006

I think the best part about this country is the people, truly genuine, gentle, warm, peaceful, nonchalant, and simple.
For instance, if you dropped cash on the floor they will tell you. Ghanaians are so nice to the point that they actually will walk you for a while if you can’t understand the given direction.
