My Investigation on the Assasination of President Habyarimana

I. Clarification and Abstract
My
purpose of investigating on the death of Habyarimana is to know
who did it and why? The investigation is based on a non-partisan
position.
After having finish my research, I suddenly discovered a testimony made
in April 21. 2000, by Mr. Jean Pierre Mugabe, a former FPR officer,
today exiled in Washington D.C. His testimony is made in collaboration
with The International Strategic Studies Association, an institution
of, in my judgment, anti-Rwandan regime with pro-Monarchy tendency.
Beside of this testimony, the articles appeared in the Canadian
Newspaper National Post also contributed important information.
However, I must to mention that this young Newspaper has, according to
certain critic, an excellent relation with Hutus exiled in Canada. On
the other hand, I certainly recognize that their information must be
taken into consideration. At the end, after my rigorous reading on both
articles, I truthfully believe that both lack credibility especially
the one made by Mr. Mugabe. In this paper, my goal is to demonstrate
the degree of complication and confusion surrounded on the death of
Habyarimana, and at the end find out the guilty. By doing so, I have
clarified certain questions about the nature of implication from the
perspective of each possible author. Yet, the most intriguing question
is still who authored the bombing? For example, even among French
services, they had different position. The French secret service told
to AFP at the night of 4.6.1994 that only FPR could be the author, yet
other French apparatus including the embassy in Kigali argued for the
possibility of Belgian soldiers. After my readings on the opinions of
different specialists of Great Lakes regions, with an independent point
of view, I conclude that FPR has much more advantage on the death of
Habyarimana than any one else. Yet, this is a judgment based on no
proves. After my reading on different sources, I have also observed
that contradictions of argument exist, which engendered a series of
questions. One of my questions is what happened to the elements of FPR
stationed in Kigali. Regardless if they are 600 or 4000 as Jean Pierre
Mugabe suggested, they should be the first target and first to fight
with FAR. However, according to French parliament report, the fact is
this FPR element did not star the fight in the afternoon of April 7th ,
yet although J.P Mugabe did not specifically mention what happened to
this unity, but he argued that Kagame order all troops to attack
immediately at the night itself. J.P. Mugabe also suggested that even
before 4.6.94, FPR elements inside of Kigali had already finish their
preparative movements, and other FPR forces were as well.
Finally, in terms of involvement of secret service agencies, I am
certain that the death of Rwandan president was direct or indirectly
involved and knew by at least French, Belgian, Ugandan, FPR, Tanzanian,
and Congolese (Zaire) agents.
